Heads Up

Away We Go is a wonderful, awkward, humorous movie.  Soundtrack also amazing.

Closure

The 1st of July is coming up quickly and we feel like we have 5,ooo things to go. Including, but not limited to: grooming and bathing the dogs so our new place doesn’t smell like feet, hiring someone to do a few fixes (pluming, sprinklers), getting window well covers so said dogs don’t go falling into the egress windows while running at mach speed around the house, finding/buying fence materials, buying a stove…all while learning to become magicians so we can **poof** produce the money to pay for everything.  And, while I’m willing things into existence, I’m going also going to hire myself to do my dream job for a decent salary.

So, sorry the blog has been neglected. Obviously, bigger fish to fry.

Riggs Sharing Wisdom

eight.jpg

I’m due for a real post eventally, I swear.  We are busy, busy, busy.  Check out Riggs talking with puppy about the do’s and dont’s of being a Belgian.  Do practice your “lean on the humans”, don’t “counter surf”, no matter how good the food smells.

A Little of Everything

So, the bank accepted the offer on the house. Now we are knee deep in paperwork and calling on all of our patience to get by for the next month.  I’m itching to get inside, measure everything and take a few hundred pictures. It’s hard to wait on other people.  This is a lesson I have learned over and over the last 2 years or so.

In other news, we enjoyed a weekend away in Georgia (I’d never been), visiting Eric’s parents and laughing our way through some hilarious airport situations.

Tomorrow, the puppies go to their new homes. I knew I would get attached, and I knew I would want one of my own after these last 9 weeks…  I knew the day would come.  I’d like to go along and take pictures each week, but something tells me their new people wouldn’t like that.

I continue to wait for my temp job to start.  All kinds of emotions attached to that, as you can imagine.  So, lots of stress, impatience and  lack of sleep sometimes feel overwhelming.  I work hard to be on top of those emotions and remember that we are lucky to have many good things coming.  And those last pieces will fit in the puzzle eventually.
