Her Dogs

I spend much of my free time with dog under-foot.  Elvis came to me in 2004 from Chargany kennels in Woodbury, MN.  He is a performance dog.  He lives to do agility and when I ask nicely, he will participate in competitive obedience.  I am in the process of teaching him the skills to go to nursing homes and hospitals as a therapy dog.

Riggs is my Hubby’s dog.  He is from Winjammer kennels in Michigan.  He also lives for agility and prefers to shadow Eric through all of his daily activites.  He gets offended when we leave him out.  He doesn’t understand that traditionally, dogs don’t accompany humans into the bathroom, or to the grocery store.  He will be 4 at the end of March.

Both of the dogs love to travel and have been on most of our road trips with us.  They love hotels and tolerate unique travel situations pretty well.  They’ve made the 14 hour drive to Michigan a dozen times.  They’ve taken the ferry to Mackinac Island twice.  They spent a year visiting my Grandparents at the nursing home.  We feel very fortunate to have well rounded, easy going dogs that can share everything with us.
